Texas A&M Student Advisors
Current Texas A&M University students can assist with the MEDALS program by serving as MEDALS Advisors. Advisors are students trained by the Director & Associate Directors of Advisors and other members of the Executive Staff to assist in multiple areas.

Peer Advisors
Serve as group leaders and an insightful source of information to a group of 10-12 high school students. Responsible for assisting, motivating, leading, interacting and directing the high school participants throughout the course of the conference.

Chaperone Advisors
Responsible for assisting parents and counselors by sharing their experiences in transitioning from high school to college, interacting in group discussions, and directing them throughout the course of the
conference.

Activities/Housing Advisors
Will remain with the students overnight at the hotel to supervise students

Operation Advisors
Serve in the technical duties that may include driving participants, assisting with setup, and other activities.

Registration Advisors
Assist with stuffing of participants binders and name badges during MEDALS Work Week (November 16th - 20th ). Registration advisors also assist in the distribution of conference binders and t-shirts to the participants during the conference.

Mandatory Advisor information:

• MEDALS Conference to be held November 21st and 22nd.
• MEDALS Week will be held October 8th  12th.
• MEDALS Informational, Thursday, October 11th.
• Advisor Retreat Dates: Retreat #1 Sunday, October 28th. Retreat #2 Sunday, November 4th.
• MEDALS Advisor meeting November 14th.
• Background Check Form must be returned to be considered for an Advisor position.
